Each cell is that destination's own verdict for the month — sweet spot, ok or avoid — with its typical daily high, from the same ten years of climate readings its page is built from. A dot marks a busy month. The last row counts the sweet spots, and the best months are marked.

On arrival
- Apps — Rides: Uber, Wizi. Maps: Google Maps, Apple Maps. Use only officially marked taxis, and confirm the fare in advance or insist that the driver uses the meter, as you may be overcharged.
- Paying — Slovenia uses the euro. Cash still settles nearly two-thirds of payments in shops, cafés and the like (64% in 2024, by the European Central Bank's count), and ATMs are rare in the mountains and small villages, so carry enough cash there.
- UPI, for visitors from India — Not accepted for paying here; bring a card that works abroad.
- Getting around Ljubljana — Jože Pučnik Airport is 25 km from Ljubljana: take a bus, or a licensed taxi from the marked rank. Ljubljana's bus station now works from a temporary site on Masarykova cesta, east of the railway station. City buses (LPP) cost €1.50 a ride, with free changes for 90 minutes on an Urbana card (€2, sold at kiosks, post offices, tourist information centres and the Urbana machines by many stops); you can also pay in the Urbana app or with a Visa or Mastercard card or phone, though a bank card gives no free changes, and drivers take no cash.
- Tipping — Not generally practised: people may round up to the next euro, or tip for truly exceptional service.
- Emergency — police 113 · ambulance and fire 112. For mountain rescue, call 112.
TravelCharika is not an emergency service: we cannot call for help or send anyone. Numbers can change; if one fails, ask someone local or your hotel.
Put together by hand from the sources listed, checked 8 October 2026. Apps, cards and rules change, so check before you rely on one.

Every verdict here is the destination's own: ten years of climate readings, the public holidays that crowd it, and what the flight costs. Nothing is said about Slovenia as a whole that was not first measured at each place in it.
