Privacy

This site has no accounts, no sign-up, no comment box and no analytics. There is very little to say here, and what follows is all of it.

What is stored on your device

Two things, both of which stay on your device and are never sent anywhere:

• Your theme choice. If you press the Auto / Light / Dark button, that one word is saved in your browser's local storage so the page does not change under you on the next visit. Nothing else is saved with it.
• Pages you have already read. If you install the app, or your browser supports offline reading, a copy of the pages you open is kept so they still work without a connection. Clearing site data removes both, and the site works normally afterwards.

There are no cookies. Not "no third-party cookies" — none at all.

What is collected when you visit

The site is static files served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web server, Cloudflare records the request: your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser's user-agent string and the time. It uses this to deliver the site and to block attacks, and it is the only processing that happens on our behalf. Their privacy policy covers it. We do not run analytics over those logs, and we have no way to connect a request to a person.

Links to other companies

Pages carry links to hotel, tour, car hire, insurance and eSIM sites, and some of them pay us a commission if you book. That is disclosed on every page that has them.

Following one of those links takes you to a company we do not control, which will have its own cookies, its own tracking and its own policy. The link usually carries an identifier so the company knows the visit came from here — that is how the commission is attributed. It does not tell them anything about you that your own visit does not.

The partners are Hotellook, GetYourGuide, Discover Cars, SafetyWing and Airalo. Photographs link to Wikimedia Commons, which is not a commercial arrangement — it is the attribution their licences require.

The Android app

The app is this website, opened in your own browser engine with the browser interface hidden. It collects nothing the website does not, has no account, and asks for no permission unless you choose to turn on alerts.

Children

This is a travel planning site with nothing directed at children, and it collects nothing from anyone. We do not knowingly hold data about a child because we do not knowingly hold data about anybody.

Your rights, and how to use them

Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you may ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to a regulator. In practice the honest answer to the first question is "nothing we can identify as yours" — we hold no account, no email address and no identifier that points at a person.

If this ever stops being true — if analytics, accounts or a newsletter appear — this page changes before the thing does, and the date below moves.
