Each cell is that destination's own verdict for the month — sweet spot, ok or avoid — with its typical daily high, from the same ten years of climate readings its page is built from. A dot marks a busy month. The last row counts the sweet spots, and the best months are marked.

On arrival
- Apps — Rides: Bolt, Etransport, Uber. Maps: Google Maps, Apple Maps. Book taxis through an app or by phoning a registered firm whose cars use a meter, make sure the meter is on, and ask for a printed receipt. At the airport, use only the official taxi rank in front of arrivals, where fares are capped.
- Paying — Lithuania uses the euro. The vast majority of shops, restaurants and hotels take cards, contactless included, but carry some cash for markets and fairs and for remote places and rural homesteads. Card and ATM fraud occurs in tourist areas: use cash machines inside a bank or in a public place, and cover the keypad.
- UPI, for visitors from India — Not accepted for paying here; bring a card that works abroad.
- Getting around Vilnius — From the airport, buses 1 and 2 run to the railway station and express bus 3G and bus 88 through the city centre, and a train reaches the railway station in 7 minutes. On buses and trolleybuses, tap a contactless bank card on board for a 60-minute ticket (€1.25), or buy tickets in the Trafi app (€1 for 30 minutes, €7.50 for 24 hours, €13.50 for 72 hours; at least €5 an order) or on a JUDU card (€1.50 at kiosks and larger shops). An activated ticket covers changes and any number of rides until it runs out.
- Tipping — Appreciated, though less ingrained than in some countries: 5% is standard, and it may already be on the bill, or the card machine may invite you to add it.
- Emergency — 112 (any emergency).
TravelCharika is not an emergency service: we cannot call for help or send anyone. Numbers can change; if one fails, ask someone local or your hotel.
Put together by hand from the sources listed, checked 8 October 2026. Apps, cards and rules change, so check before you rely on one.

Every verdict here is the destination's own: ten years of climate readings, the public holidays that crowd it, and what the flight costs. Nothing is said about Lithuania as a whole that was not first measured at each place in it.
