Each cell is that destination's own verdict for the month — sweet spot, ok or avoid — with its typical daily high, from the same ten years of climate readings its page is built from. A dot marks a busy month. The last row counts the sweet spots, and the best months are marked.

On arrival
- Apps — Rides: Patoko, Speed Taxi, VrapOn. Maps: Google Maps, Apple Maps. Use only officially marked taxis, and agree the fare before you set off or insist that the driver uses the meter, as you may be overcharged.
- Paying — The currency is the lek (ALL). Cards are taken in the major cities, but carry cash for small purchases and in rural areas. Card and ATM fraud occurs: use ATMs in public places or inside a bank, and cover the keypad.
- UPI, for visitors from India — Not accepted for paying here; bring a card that works abroad.
- Getting around Tirana — Tirana's airport (TIA) is 17 km from the city. The airport bus, the only regular public line, leaves every hour on the hour, round the clock, from the bus park a minute's walk from the terminal exit to its stop behind the Opera and Ballet building in the centre, in 30 to 40 minutes, for 400 lek or €4.50, paid on board in cash (lek or euros) or by card. The official airport taxis are yellow, with the Auto Holiday Albania and airport logos on both sides, and wait in front of the terminal: about 2,200 lek to the centre, in 20 to 25 minutes. City buses cost 40 lek a ride (the city's figure in 2022).
- Tipping — Not a custom and not expected, and it may even confuse staff; in a westernised restaurant in Tirana, you may round up the bill.
- Emergency — police 112 · ambulance 127 · fire 128.
TravelCharika is not an emergency service: we cannot call for help or send anyone. Numbers can change; if one fails, ask someone local or your hotel.
Put together by hand from the sources listed, checked 8 October 2026. Apps, cards and rules change, so check before you rely on one.

Every verdict here is the destination's own: ten years of climate readings, the public holidays that crowd it, and what the flight costs. Nothing is said about Albania as a whole that was not first measured at each place in it.
