Each cell is that destination's own verdict for the month — sweet spot, ok or avoid — with its typical daily high, from the same ten years of climate readings its page is built from. A dot marks a busy month. The last row counts the sweet spots, and the best months are marked.

On arrival
- Apps — Maps: Google Maps, Apple Maps.
- Paying — Pay in Pacific francs (XPF, written F locally). On Tahiti, Visa and Mastercard are taken in most hotels, restaurants, shops and supermarkets, but small shops and markets want cash; there are cash machines throughout the island.
- UPI, for visitors from India — Not accepted for paying here; bring a card that works abroad.
- Getting around Tahiti — Buses link Papeete with all the other districts of Tahiti; if unsure which to take, ask the driver. From Faa'a airport, the nearest bus stops are on the ring road outside, in both directions, and the taxi rank is in front of Terminal 1.
- Tipping — Not expected in hotels and restaurants, where a service charge has been included in the price since 2007, though a tip will not be refused.
- Emergency — police 17 · ambulance 15 · fire 18. From a landline, an ambulance can also be called on 4048 5906.
TravelCharika is not an emergency service: we cannot call for help or send anyone. Numbers can change; if one fails, ask someone local or your hotel.
Put together by hand from the sources listed, checked 7 October 2026. Apps, cards and rules change, so check before you rely on one.

Every verdict here is the destination's own: ten years of climate readings, the public holidays that crowd it, and what the flight costs. Nothing is said about French Polynesia as a whole that was not first measured at each place in it.
