Each cell is that destination's own verdict for the month — sweet spot, ok or avoid — with its typical daily high, from the same ten years of climate readings its page is built from. A dot marks a busy month. The last row counts the sweet spots, and the best months are marked.

On arrival
- Apps — Rides: Bolt, Forus, Uber. Maps: Google Maps, Apple Maps. Take only official taxis with a TAKSO sign, or one booked ahead: unmarked taxis are illegal. Fares vary widely between companies, so check the rates on the yellow sticker in the right rear window, ask for an estimate and make sure the meter is on; the apps show the price before you book.
- Paying — Estonia uses the euro. Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted, contactless payment and Apple Pay and Google Pay are common, and cards are preferred in most places, but carry a little cash for markets and very small businesses. In Tallinn, foreign currency can be changed only at exchange offices, which charge fees.
- UPI, for visitors from India — Not accepted for paying here; bring a card that works abroad.
- Getting around Tallinn — From the airport's public transport centre, at the city end of the terminal, tram T4 runs through the centre (Viru, Vabaduse väljak) and T2 to Hobujaama and on to the Old City Harbour, stopping in front of Terminal A (Eckerö Line and Viking Line from Helsinki; Tallink's Terminal D is 470 m away). Visitors pay: tap a contactless bank card on the validator on board for a €2 one-hour ticket, and once a day's rides pass the €5.50 day ticket, the rest of that day is free; QR tickets are also sold at machines at the airport and in Terminals A and D. The Old Town is a 15 to 20-minute walk from the ferry terminals.
- Tipping — Not compulsory; for exceptionally good service or food, about 10% of the bill is usual.
- Emergency — 112 (any emergency).
TravelCharika is not an emergency service: we cannot call for help or send anyone. Numbers can change; if one fails, ask someone local or your hotel.
Put together by hand from the sources listed, checked 8 October 2026. Apps, cards and rules change, so check before you rely on one.

Every verdict here is the destination's own: ten years of climate readings, the public holidays that crowd it, and what the flight costs. Nothing is said about Estonia as a whole that was not first measured at each place in it.
