On arrival
- Apps — Rides: Bolt, Dantaxi, Uber. Maps: Google Maps, Apple Maps. Messages: Messenger. Uber here books taxis, including Dantaxi's, at Denmark's regulated taxi fares.
- Paying — Cards and phone wallets work almost everywhere, though some shops add a fee for foreign cards. MobilePay needs Danish ID; carry a little cash for small local cafés and flea markets.
- UPI, for visitors from India — Not accepted for paying here; bring a card that works abroad.
- Getting around Copenhagen — Buy single tickets or a City Pass in the Rejsebillet or DSB app, at station machines or at 7-Eleven; the Rejsekort app lets you check in and out instead. The Copenhagen Card includes transport.
- Tipping — Service is included in restaurant bills and taxi fares; tip only for service you thought outstanding.
- Emergency — 112 (any emergency).
TravelCharika is not an emergency service: we cannot call for help or send anyone. Numbers can change; if one fails, ask someone local or your hotel.
Put together by hand from the sources listed, checked 3 October 2026. Apps, cards and rules change, so check before you rely on one.

Every verdict here is the destination's own: ten years of climate readings, the public holidays that crowd it, and what the flight costs. Nothing is said about Denmark as a whole that was not first measured at each place in it.
